Are you longing for a spectacular, yet private, location for your next writing retreat? Heron Rising is just the place. Nestled out of sight of the road, the timber frame home offers an expansive wall of windows overlooking a spring-fed stream. The house is available for one to four guests who wish to stay for a week, a month, or longer.
A cozy two-story house nearby is perfect if you prefer a shorter visit for one to three people at a nightly rate. Its main floor is wheelchair accessible with a roll-in shower.
The 20 acres of land offer delightful surprises — a spring-fed pond, a stream, and extensive frontage on the Grand River. As you wander through woods and fields of wildflowers, you may encounter white-tailed deer, spot a hawk as she soars on the wind, or view an eagle circling above the Grand River. Depending on the season, you will hear cardinals, bluebirds, mourning doves, woodpeckers, rose-breasted grosbeaks, or the occasional owl.
